There are many foreign made, lower priced reproduction parts offered for classic Ford cars on the market, but we feel in most cases there is no comparison to a quality American made Dearborn Classics part. Although we cannot manufacture every part we sell, we will not sell products that are available through other sources if we are not confident in their ability to perform, so if you see an item in another catalog that we do not offer, it may be because of questionable quality. Many times, we will reject products several times before approving the final part for production. Although painfully costly to us because manufacturing products takes longer to do it this way, we have come to find out that our customers appreciate our attention to detail. The little things count at Dearborn Classics, whether it's the correct grain vinyl, the exact thickness (down to the thousandths) of stamped metal parts, or the factory color and paint finish color on exterior ornamentation, we care about the fit, durability, and authenticity of the parts we sell. We supply most suppliers in our industry with our manufactured product. We have a full time staff of friendly and knowledgeable sales and customer service personnel. Most of our sales staff have their own restoration projects as well as mechanical experience with Ford products as a minimum requirement. In the warehouse we have several hard working and loyal employees. Our shipping department ships several thousand packages every month and is equipped with the most advanced shipping software for accurate and fast UPS shipping and tracking.
We currently service tens of thousands of restorers, Ford dealerships, and restoration shops in every state as well as many overseas customers. We stock a huge inventory of parts in our Oregon warehouse to include over 10,000 different part numbers to include interiors, moldings, emblems, weatherstrip, suspension, brakes, sheet metal, fiberglass parts, chrome parts, engine parts, accessories, and much more.
Dearborn Classics has obtained permission by the Ford Motor Company to use original trademarks and now has been authorized to acquire and reproduce parts from original Ford tooling. That's right, we actually produce some of our quality parts on the original Ford dies for absolute authenticity. This certification through Ford requires us to maintain extremely high quality standards for all licensed products. Look for these symbols on our products for Ford's guarantee of quality! Dearborn Classics Interiors are being used in show cars nationwide. We offer the most complete selection of interior parts for your classic Ford. Seat upholstery, door panels, armrest pads, sunvisors, molded carpets, correct grain headliners, dash covers, kick panels, interior handles, console parts, factory style sound deadener, and just about everything else in between, we offer the most complete selection of original interior soft trim items, factory match color vinyls, and exact Ford grains for your restoration. We use premium vinyl on our seat cover sets, door panels, visors, and interior soft trim. All vinyl is color matched by a spectraphotometer (computer color monitor) to the original Ford vinyl samples we have acquired from the original dealer trim albums. That way, when you buy one of our interior kits or individual parts, you know you will get the best color match and consistent interior color available. In addition we produce a complete line of color matched interior paints, so you can correctly dye or restore good original parts to match your new Dearborn interior items. We have duplicated many original features, and materials for the authentic Ford restoration. We could do it cheaper, but you would know the difference, and quite honestly, we could not allow it. One example of our committment to quality and authenticity is evident in our 1962/63 seat upholstery. We went to great lengths and expense to reproduce the correct strapping material on 1962 - 1963 Galaxie 500XL interiors. |
This required us to manufacture several different dies and colors with a minimum 25,000 feet production run, yes 25,000 feet! That's a lot of 62/63 seat covers you say, well your right, but this was our committment just to get the correct style chrome mylar and the color matched seat strapping made. In addition, we reproduced the original stamped stainless steel seat buttons so you could replace your tired originals. Not off the shelf generic colors here, we also went to great expense to reproduce several vinyl colors that have not been correctly reproduced since 1962. Compare and see!
